Proofing & Final Review
One final review can make all the difference. Before your project moves into production, take a moment to confirm that your artwork, production setup and proof accurately reflect the finished piece you expect.
Review Your Final Artwork
Before submitting your files, carefully review the entire project. A final check can help catch content or artwork issues before your project enters production.
Verify that:
- All text, spelling, dates and contact information are correct
- Images and graphics are the correct versions
- Page order and orientation are correct
- Logos and brand elements are accurate
- Unwanted guides, notes or placeholder elements have been removed
- All requested changes have been completed
Submit only artwork that has received your final internal approval.
Check Production Setup
Take one final look at the technical setup of your artwork before creating or uploading your production files.
Confirm that:
- Document dimensions match the final finished size
- Required 0.125" (1/8") bleed is included
- Images have sufficient resolution for printing
- Colors and spot colors are set up correctly
- Fonts are embedded or properly supplied
- Links and supporting artwork are current and included
- Special production elements are clearly identified
Open and review your final PDF before submitting it.
Proofs & Approval
Depending on the project, Southwestern may provide a proof for review before production.
When reviewing a proof, check:
- Text and content
- Page order and placement
- Images and graphics
- Variable information when applicable
- Overall layout and appearance
Proof approval confirms that the project is ready to proceed to production.
Changes requested after approval may require a revised proof and could affect production time or cost.

Submitting native files? Please include a PDF of the final approved artwork with your packaged files as a visual reference for our prepress team.
